Traded offer details
The following activities can be part of the traded offer, but not limited to:
- Providing advice and support on parents’ evening
- Support and advise on attendance reward and recognition systems
- Delivering attendance work for individual pupil and families that is expected of the school, this will include:
- Contacting families and understanding the barriers to attendance and providing appropriate support where relevant.
- Sending letters to parents on attendance related matters, including formal letters.
- Setting up and leading attendance meetings with families.
- Developing in-school reasonable adjustments and initial attendance action plans.
- Completion of referrals to other services, including early help assessments.
- Support in completion of referrals to other services including early help assessment.
- Intensive support to develop and implement whole school attendance strategy.
- Support with developing in-school robust attendance processes and procedures for the day-to-day management of attendance.
- Professional supervision of attendance staff employed by the school.
- Advise and support with Court bundles, where necessary including support with Section 9 statements.
Training
- Training for school-based staff on attendance legislation, casework and application of guidance through the Attendance Forum.
- Training for governors, attendance and teaching staff on their responsibilities.
- Training on how to analyse data and make use of attendance data in day-to-day practices to improve attendance.
