It is important within any workplace to make sure those staff with health and safety responsibilities understand how they fit within their local organisation, the local mechanisms they are expected to use. Regular refresher health and safety training refreshers on expectations and tools commonly used across the local authority of Haringey. This particular course concentrates on the site management area (care takers, site managers and facilities managers).

Description:

This course covers the different aspects the Premises Team needs to be aware of to do so successfully, including risk assessments, maintenance, testing and servicing of systems and equipment, etc.

Outcomes:

To reiterate the importance of site management as a vital part of the workplace robust risk management system.

The objectives are:

  • To be informed of health and safety aspects to be considered by building managers.
  • To consider specific risk assessments.
  • To be aware of documentation requirements. Site management staff working within educational settings.

Booking information:

Delegates will receive a Certificate of Attendance on successful completion of the course.

It is recommended that this course is refreshed at least every three years or where a review is required.

The cost of this course is £200 per delegate (Free if school buys into the ‘Health and Safety for Schools’ SLA).

Please note that non-attendance fee will be applied in full (£200) if place is not cancelled 72h in advance.

Cancellation Policy:

We acknowledge that sometimes there is a need to cancel your course booking for a course.

If you cannot attend, or no longer require a place:

Please provide notice of cancellation by sending an email to health.safetyadvice@haringey.gov.uk at least 5 working days prior to the course start date. Please include in the email - the course name, date and the reason you are unable to attend.  Failure to provide sufficient notice will result in your School being charged £50 or the full course fee (whichever is greater).

A cancellation fee will not be charged if you nominate someone else to attend.  Please advise health.safetyadvice@haringey.gov.uk of any name changes. If there are exceptional circumstances, the Deputy Head of Service Health and Safety may take this into consideration.

A cancellation fee also applies for non-attendance / no show!
