In order to ensure that schools receive the best value for money, we offer all-inclusive services that provides schools with a discounted Core HR Advisory and Payroll Support services that would include;

Payroll

  • Termly contract monitoring meetings
  • Help and advice on all pay related matters
  • Implement agreed pay awards in the month following notification including any arrears once notified by the HR provider or school
  • Apply increments as notified and in accordance with the relevant Conditions of Service on the due dates
  • Compile, control and balance all end of year returns for tax and NI via real time information to HMRC
  • Complete PN11 form or appropriate form and make payment to the school’s Pensions Provider
  • Provide P60 and P11D details to all employees by the statutory deadline
  • Send relevant employee salaries to banks
  • Providing pay advice slips electronically
  • Maintaining employee records
  • Schedule payment and payroll deadline dates for receipt of data to the School before the start of each financial year
  • Establishment and maintenance of pay records and data for all paid employees from school provision of information
  • Detailed maternity calculations for the employee
  • Monthly pay runs
  • Set up of new starters following receipt of all required paperwork up, to a 20% Turnover greater than 20% will incur a charge
  • Processing for payment of all correctly authorised claims (over time, additional hours, casual workforce claims)
  • On notification by the school, administer all records relating to payroll leavers
  • Ensuring that authorised voluntary deductions from pay are correctly made and remitted to the relevant
  • Ensuring accurate statutory deductions from pay, such as National Insurance, Income Tax, Student Loans
  • Monthly reports on:
    • Pre payroll run report
    • Sickness absence report
    • Establishment reports on request
  • Ensuring all      returns       and      payments        are      made       to     central government agencies/departments by the deadline
  • Applying Court Orders, as advised, correctly and ensure that the deductions are remitted by the due date
  • Implementing Statutory and Occupational Sick Pay (OSP), Maternity Pay (OMP), Paternity, Adoption Pay and Shared Parental Pay once

  • Experienced and dedicated HR Advisors with extensive knowledge of casework in schools and the conditions under which schools
  • A comprehensive advisory support and guidance in all aspects of employee relations:
    • Sickness absence
    • Employee conduct/disciplinary
    • Employee capability
    • Employee grievance
    • Organisational change
    • Support with ET cases
    • Support with referral to DBS/TRA
    • Negotiation of employee severance package and agree SA (chargeable service)
  • Access to dedicated advice during working hours, (9am – 5pm) from HR Professionals, telephone, virtual meetings, email or visits as
  • Expertise in teaching and support staff terms and conditions of
  • Specialist up to date advice on legislation affecting schools
  • Access to the Local Authority legal service team (chargeable service)
  • Comprehensive support, advice and guidance to effectively manage your employees’ performance.
  • Complex case trouble shooting
  • Training on a range of HR matters for staff and governors. (Additional charges apply).
  • Effective working relationships at both local and regional levels with trade unions and other external agencies such as LGE, DCS
  • Mediation Service Access to trained mediators (chargeable service)
  • Access to HR Manual, Policies and Procedures to assist Heads and Governors in effective staff management consulted on and agreed with Trade Unions
  • Effective working relationships with other council services to liaise on your behalf for e.g., Payroll, School finance, LADO, Children’s service, This includes access to London wide schools HR professional networks
  • Close alliance with Payroll and staff with expertise of Teachers Pay and
  • Statutory Returns.
  • Streamlined service when Payroll also procured removing duplication of work and combining all Employee Payroll and HR
  • Termly meetings with Traded Services Head of HR (Schools) to discuss quality of the service being provided; support planning of resource over the coming weeks; training and development of staff; and any improvements to the HR
  • Unlimited meetings with a HR Advisor to discuss sickness absence, employee capability, employee conduct, recruitment activity, any organisational change requirements and general advice and
  • Training on Sickness Absence Management (charge may apply)
