Payroll processing can be a complicated and time-consuming task, and could range from calculating pay, taxation, pension contributions, sick pay, shared parental leave, contraction variations, etc.

We provide comprehensive payroll service to schools and employees including multiple assignments. On behalf of schools, we will make annual returns to HMRC, Teachers Pensions and Local Government Pension Scheme.   • Set up new starters for payroll
  • Process pay for all mid-monthly and monthly paid staff (permanent, temporary, supply) in accordance with payroll timescales
  • Ensure that sickness absence details are processed and payment made in accordance with appropriate conditions of service
  • Process overtime payments
  • Process travel and subsistence claims in accordance with local conditions
  • Process adjustments in respect of leave without pay
  • Process jury service notifications and pay adjustments as appropriate
  • Process payment adjustments associated with in service changes and contract variations
  • Process termination payments, including pay in lieu of notice, redundancy payments etc.
  • Liaise with Council Payroll on any issue relating to staff P60, P45 (termination)
  • Liaise with Council Payroll for voluntary deductions and remittance to appropirate bodies.
  • Process pay/incremental awards with payroll team
  • Where set deadlines are not met and emergency transactions can be undertaken, process with payroll team e.g. manual payments on request, manual pay adjustments, manual payslip, generation of payment and update of payroll record.
  • Process leavers
  • Liaise with payroll  team for any leaver overpayment.
  • Ensuring all returns and payments are made to central government
    agencies/departments by the deadline
  • Applying Court Orders, as advised, correctly and ensure that the deductions are remitted by the due date
  • Implementing Statutory and Occupational Sick Pay (OSP), Maternity Pay (OMP), Paternity, Adoption Pay and Shared Parental Pay once notified.
